Heath H. Hegemann

Heath H. Hegemann is a founding member and senior partner of Hegemann & Zimmerman, Co. L.P.A., formerly Sell, Hegemann and Zimmerman, Co. L.P.A. Heath’s practice focuses primarily in domestic relations (divorce, dissolution, custody, adoption, child support, contempt and paternity). Heath is also active in civil litigation and estate planning focusing on personal injury, civil disputes and landlord law matters. Heath also handles bankruptcy cases, small business formation and estates.


Heath is a 1986 graduate of Minster High School and a 1990 graduate of Heidelberg College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Heath received his Juris Doctor law degree in 1993 from the University of Toledo College of Law and was admitted to the Ohio Bar. Heath is also admitted to the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Heath has been an active attorney for nearly 30 years serving Shelby County in various capacities. In addition to his private practice, Heath has served Shelby County as an Assistant Public Defender and now as an Assistant Prosecutor since 1999. Heath handles all aspects of prosecutions in Juvenile Court as well as various adult felony and misdemeanor matters for current County Prosecutor Timothy Sell. Heath is an experienced trial lawyer having participated in many criminal and civil trials and hearings over the span of his career.


Heath has been active in the Minster and Sidney communities serving most recently on the St. Augustine Parish Council (past Chair); Minster Community Foundation Distribution Committee (past Chair) and Sidney Kiwanis Scholarship Committee (past Co-Chair).


Heath and his wife Julie reside in Minster where they grew up and raised their family. Heath and Julie enjoy spending time with their adult sons Austin and Wesley, attending sporting events and traveling.
